Today my mother and I took my nephew on a dolphin cruise in Broad Creek which is in the middle of Hilton Head Island. There were several neat sightings of dolphins, but they're so darn quick it's difficult to catch any photos of them. Most of the photos we're mostly of their dorsal fins and back side. Today was a beautiful day out. Was going to go hiking, but had a difficult time locating the trailhead. It wasn't well marked, and the area I thought might be the trailhead, well the "parking area" was closed off by a locked gate. Yesterday was my quarterly drive to Charleston for my rheumatology appointment. I decided to head up early and took a side trip to Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. Upon doing some research I have found out that I have about 8 state parks within less than a two hour drive from my house. Today I took myself to one of the closets ones about 30 miles from my house.
